Morning, Grower.
Here’s what we got for you today:☝️ Additional AgriStability Support

Additional AgriStability Support
In light of recent challenges facing our agricultural sector, such as China's imposition of tariffs on key Canadian exports, Kody Blois, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Rural Economic Development, announced enhancements to the AgriStability program on March 22nd.
Summary:
Increased Compensation Rate: The compensation rate will rise from 80% to 90% for the 2025 program year, offering greater financial support to producers facing significant income declines.
Higher Payment Cap: The maximum payment cap will double to $6 million, ensuring larger operations receive adequate assistance.
Accelerated Payments: Provinces and territories now have the option to enter agreements that allow for interim payments at a higher rate and initiate Targeted Advance Payments in response to specific challenges, such as tariffs or disease outbreaks. This means eligible producers can access up to 75% of their estimated final payment for the 2025 program year more promptly.
